The village boasts a cricket pitch and heavily populated duck pond. There are lovely walks straight from the front door through the village and into the countryside, and along the town path on the Oxford Canal. Local shops can be found at the nearby villages of Braunston and Dunchurch, or for a larger range of amenities, Rugby, Daventry and Southam are within a few miles drive. Draycote Reservoir is just 3 miles away and offers a lovely circular walk or cycle ride, a sailing club and fishing, it’s also a great spot for birdwatching. The town of Rugby is only 6 miles away and is now Warwickshire second largest market town boasting a variety of designer and high street shops, restaurants and pubs.
Famed for its public school, the birth of rugby football and the Frank Whittle jet engine, Rugby is also home to the green open spaces of Caldecott Park, Coombe Abbey Country Park and Brownsover Hall. It also provides trains to Leicester, Birmingham and London in around 50 minutes. A little further is the Royal town of Leamington Spa where you can visit Victoria Gardens, Warwick with is famous castle and Shakespeare’s Stratford Upon Avon.
